Watch how long it takes Mick McGeough and Dennis LaRue to work out three relatively simple minor penalties... surely it can't be that confusing. Unfortunately, these referees had far bigger issues in this game.
With a 5-4 Stars lead over the Oilers, Patrick Stefan stumbled just a few feet from an empty Edmonton goal. The Oilers took the puck the other way, and Ales Hemsky beat Marty Turco to send the game to OT. (The Stars won 6-5 in a shootout.)
