The seven Hecules' ships are attacked by terifying sea monsters. Just one of them survive. At the end of this segment a giant mosaic is displayed on one side of the stadium representing the Ramblas and the Sagrada Familia Temple Towers.
The Olympic Oath is taken by Luis Doreste and the Official Oath by Eugeni Asensio. The song "Amigos para siempre" (Friends for life) is performed and a giant Olympic Flag covers all the athletes. That is one of the main highlights of Barcelona Games. Then, the Human Pyramids ends the ceremony.
The Opening ceremony of the XV Olympic Winter Games held in Calgary, ALberta, Canada, from 13 to 28 February. The ceremony took place in MacMahon Stadium.
