Ruth...known by everyone as Mother Lyons...pioneered the talk/variety show format in the late 40's at Crosley TV's WLWT in Cincinnati. Eventually she was on all three Crosley stations in Ohio (Cincinnati, Dayton & Columbus) and later on the NBC-TV network. Ruth, a strong willed person, was known as woman with a tender heart. Ruth passed away in 1988 leaving a void in the broadcasting community.
