Even though we live in Kelowna, Cindy and I agree that the beaches of Penticton (one hour south of us) are far better. First there seems to be more beaches for the public, better parking (no parking meters yet) and just a better, more lively, youthful and fun atmosphere.

Postcard vistas everywhere in British Columbia. Less than 20 minutes after leaving the Summerland Agricultural Research Station and Ornamental Garden we were on the beach at Penticton. Does it get any better?

Unbelievable scenery, accentuated with a large population of wild life. Bighorn sheep, mule deer, white tail deer, bear, mountain lion all roam the mountains along with western diamond back rattle snakes.
