I hacked the X Port on the HobbyZone Firebird Freedom. I plan on using it to launch a model rocket instead of some lame plastic bomb with a streamer.

This is a small model rocket being fired in flight via the X Port on a HobbyZone Firebird Freedom RC airplane. I built my own circuit to capture X Port signals and fire two relays attached to rocket igniters.
It was way too windy when I did this so the flight is very erratic and short, I didn't even get a chance to fire the #2 rocket.
