Richard Zednik's carotid artery is partially severed by the skate of his Florida Panther teammate Olli Jokinen in Buffalo. From the look of it his jugular was opened up.
This high quality vid (in French) shows an interview with a pissed off Jokinen afterwards plus it has archival footage of Clint Malarchuk's similar injury in Buffalo back in '89.
Doctors say Zednik will be okay.
