What are the chances, they put the two Iranian guys together...this guy weighs 100kg, whilst I'm 70Kg, coming out i asked the referre if the judges were having a laugh when they put us together...he was shocked too so he checked, but hey...Judo is real fighting...heavier guys, sure yeah.
Although tkdo is not the best martial art for real fighting, it's worth checking out this fabulous knockout. Perhaps if the opponent had his hands up, he wouldn't have got ko'd.
Rauf you made the same mistake as flo, for the arm bar you should be facing uke's feet, not his head. Look at how Rauf check's out the referee before slapping his hands together (haha) in a random attempt at getting the arm out. What you should have done is grab your own collar and dig the knife edge of your wrist up against his arm...he would have released then (of course easier said than done)
Emma D has the girl in standard side control hold, yoko shiho gatame. However, Emma's shoulder should have been driving uke's chin into the mat, preventing her from turning in or bridge. As Emma's weight was too far close the uke's hips...uke was able to turn onto her front.
So you went in typical european uchimata style...Here are some tips: a) bend your supporting leg more to get more lift b) attack the thigh, not the groin c) pull more on the sleeve grip.
Listen to my advice on the video Flo, also part of the time you were facing your right, you should be facing uke's feet ie. left. You should be up on your head, with your right knee pushing his head away forcing him to turn. Furhtermore the collar grip would have given you more control over his arm.
A good entry to kata garuma (the opponent rises as i drop), but what went wrong afterwards? Rauf recognised that i took the wrong leg, i should have grabbed the inside of his left leg, not the outside of his right. Also the referee should have allowed me to capitalise on my armlock...i was working on it, in Judo that means there is no time limit put on it.
Okay so a lot of the white belts at our club need to learn how to hip out and wrap their legs around their opponent to escape from a pin and regain control of the opponent. Though hipping out isn't normally possible in kesa gatame hold, your legs are long enough for it to work i think Rob.
First time you had an excellent opportunity for o-uchi gari with your right leg...he spun out. Later on good drop ippon seio nage...unlucky it didn't work.
