Classic stop motion animated film from Sesame Street, said to have been created by Jim Henson. Oranges, of course, are high in acid (citric). The song is from the opera Carmen.
I believe this is the original version of the film and classic song. The arrangement sounds different than what I remember but I'm probably remembering Everybody Sleeps. Song by Joe Raposo.
Early Muppet fav from childhood. Memorable song and fun puppetry (I especially loved the movement of the vehicles). Jim Henson, Frank Oz, and Caroll Spinney.
The narrator here voiced the character seen in the "count of 10" film (rubber band for mouth and eyes, seen in "Limbo: the Organized Mind" by Jim Henson, also referred to as "Nobody"). Made with the Scanimate computer.

By request another animated short from the 70's with everyone's favorite lines.
This was also shown with the yellow "background" changed to green (or visa-versa, I'm not sure which was first).
