I got un-lazy and hooked up the dazzle to record some footage.. after a good 30 minutes of smacking the 360 around to get it to turn on, I was able to do it =P I was playing as HHH.
Xbox 360 version, showing off the menu system and how it is this time around to make your car your own. At the end, I was going to do some drifting, but the machine locked up =/
No worries, look out for a new video soon of drifting in Carbon from me =)
This video is showing off the 'Nail the Trick' feature found in THPS 8.. it's actually pretty neat. This is all gameplay footage, so the load times (I use that term losely) are real. Probably the first THPS game since THPS 3 that's worth playing =)
This mode is split into 2 parts, the computer leads the first part and then you'll lead the second part. Object is to stay in front of your competitor, and if you fall off the canyon, you lose.
This video is of the PC version, and the specific race is the Canyon Drift #2 race in the Challenges (featuring the White MR2). This is currently the #1 score for it on PC-Online stats: 2,038,060.. but I don't expect it to last long.

Starting last saturday, my 360 started showing me the 'red ring of death', which microsoft won't fix for free for me since the console was manufactured on Jan. 5th 2006, 5 days after their cutoff for free repairs.. whatever. Anyway, I can get it to work sometimes, but this was the first time I've seen it work while displaying the red lights.. it kind of made me laugh =P
After believing 300,000 was a good score, today I doubled that.. I've finally found the secret to getting a high score in this mode.. Hopefully I'll reach the 1,000,000 mark soon =)
Until then, this video shows my recent run: 617,887 =)
