On Friday, February 1, 2008 there was a sudden hydrant explosion on Fairfax. We came outside and filmed some of the scene, including when the water was finally turned off. The pressure was unbelievable and made it difficult for the fire department to deal with. The water was spouting about 50 feet in the air.
