In early April 2007, SHP Director Gaston Callum photographs some of South Carolina's idle and abandoned pre-Civil War farmhouses, just prior to the spring foliage which annually conceals them. Callum's brief encounter with a deputy sheriff at one of the properties demonstrates that someone is at least looking out for these vulnerable old homes. www.southlandhp.org
