WJZ-13, another Group W station in Baltimore, used the same Star-Spangled Banner video. It may have been from the same film print (see WJZ sign-off Dec. 1981 YouTube video).
Here is a stirring version of the Star-Spangled Banner (SSB) that was played by WTAF-TV just prior to the station's actual sign-off (which I uploaded as a separate video due to file size restrictions). It is the same SSB that WNYW-TV 5 in NYC used at the time. Interestingly, WNYW was FOX at the time and WTAF later became a FOX station. 1986 aircheck recorded locally VHS SP-mode.

Here is WPVI-TV signing on at 5:25 AM on June 28, 1984. WPVI used the same film for both sign-on and sign-off. I did not have a VCR at that time. The audio was recorded at the time on audio cassette. The video is from my videotaped 1986 sign-off. The audio and video are in perfect sync.
