A zoom into the Mandelbrot Set, from 1:1 scale to a 6th-level mini-set. Set to Jonathan Coulton's "Mandelbrot Set" (used under the Creative Commons license; share and enjoy!)
How to make a very simple motor from two paper clips, a length of enameled wire, a magnet, and a DC power supply. Sorry about the hard-to-read credits; Movie Maker was the only program I had available that would do a credit roll. (Yeah, I know. I'm working on a MUCH better replacement system, using POVRay.) Anyway, enjoy! Comments / criticism welcome.
A zoom into the "Seahorse Valley" region of the Mandelbrot Set. Set to "La Villageoise" by Rameau, performed by Trevor Pinnock. (Music -- and therefore this video -- are subject to the Creative Commons license. Check out www.magnatune.com.)
Can a Cessna 172S be flown from one airport to another in Flight Simulator X -- with absolutely *no* actions by the pilot once the plane starts rolling (I.E. with no pilot on board)...?
A Dinosaur Plant (Anastatica hierochuntica, I think) "coming back to life" (rehydrating) after having been dormant. Time-lapse movie, speeded up 1000x.
Flight Simulator X approach and landing of the default Boeing 747-400 into Rand Airport, SA (FAGN). Somehow YouTube cut off the tail end of the video; sorry.
One of my friends had a "dog party" at Pup'n'Iron. I brought Buddy along; he made a lot of new friends and learned about agility training. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
A simple pick-and-place routine to test out one of the lab robots at BCC. Sorry about the really poor quality (but hey -- my phone does a better job at video than my camcorder does at making phone calls!) This sequence was preprogrammed into the robot's control computer (the positions were manually taught using the pendant, first.)
A short, simple video-in-newspaper test I did, inspired by the moving images on paper in the "Harry Potter" films. Actually, it's fairly easy (if the paper stays still, anyway).
