First musician Larry Harlow talks about how the Who inspired him, before the Who play My Generation on Later With Jools Holland. Broadcast on the 30th Nov 2007
This is The Who performing on Later With Jools Holland, broadcast on the 30th Nov 2007 (performed on the 20th Nov)
This starts with The Who jamming with the other acts and then they go straight into "The Seeker"
This was the last gig John played with the Who. I was there on the 8th Feb 2002, when John played this 5.15 bass solo for the last ever time. Look at what Pete does at the end.

This is me playing along with The Who's Love Aint For Keeping, it's the rocky version with Pete singing and lesley west playing lead, only I panned it hard right so you can't hear West's guitar very much allowing me to play lead! I might do this againg when I'm on better form.
This is me playing my version of "Sunrise" by the Who, which was played solo by Pete Townshend on "The Who Sell Out" album. The audio is recorded seperately and synced with the video afterwards (added reverb makes it looked mimed but it is all live). Not perfect, but I've only just worked this out and even Pete screwed it up when he played it a while back on the live "In The Attic" webcast.
This is a clip of me playing the Who track Heaven And Hell. It's sloppy cos I had trouble getting a good balance between my guitar and the backing so I couldn't hear it loud enough sometimes. I've got the CD on with the balance all the way to one side so Pete's guitar is quiet, it's either Leeds or Isle Of wight.
Me playing this to a backing track. Not trying to mimic Hendrix note for note (as if I could!) never really tried to play this properly before, just learned the odd part here and there. I even get an accidental but authentic "Hendrix goes out of tune bit" thanks to me trying to bend behind the nut on a guitar with a dodgy machine head, lol. Sound was recorded seperatley and synched up.
