The scene was CBS Sports..Phoenix, AZ. This was the 8th game in a series of exhibitions for the Olympic Team. The Olympic squad won 84-72. this game gave a glimpse into things to come from some of the players from the class of '84, which was dubbed the Greatest Class in NBA history. The game also featured established greats such as Alex English, Magic, Isiah, Walter Davis.
The Bulls simply overwhelmed the Hornets with their offensive & defensive efficiency in this game. They simply just could not compete wit the Bulls after getting their attention with an upset in Game 2.
This game was kind of hard to put together due to the incredibly high number of stoppages. The usual suspects did their thing. Adrian Dantley went for 20+, etc.. What I was able to put together, I surely hope U guys enjoy..
An overtime thriller that was very competitive. The sonics Big 3 of Tom Chambers, Xavier "X-man" McDaniels & sharp shooting specialist Dale Ellis, were on full display in this game. X-man forced the game into overtime with a clutch 3 pointer, but in the end, MJ finished them off with his own clutch plays, both offensively & defensively..
As was the case with many of 1st Rd. opponents, the Bulls simply overwhelmed the Hawks & put them out of their misery. They'd dominated the Hawks in the 1st 2 games & brought finality to this series in this one.
This one was a thriller from end to end. MJ did his usual by elevating his play in the clutch when he needed to. But Paxson was the hero for the bulls in this contest.
It was the last Pre-Season Game on schedule. The Bulls showcased 2 1st Rd. Draft Picks named Pippen & Grant. The games also had dueling old College Teamates in MJ & James worthy..both put on a scoring exhibition that night. Magic didn't play due to a sore achilles tendon & Kareem sat out due to a severe sinus infection..
This was a great game that featured a young Air Jordan & Clyde "The Glyde" Drexler. Another one of my favorite players on that Blazer team, was Kiki Vandeweigh, who was a very underrated scorer & great complimentary player, as was on display in this game because he went for 35 pts. The Glyde went for 27.
This is just another installment of what I call "Recap" videos I've been loading up here on YouTube lately. This piece gives a chronological recap of what events & people shaped, molded & formed the careers of MJ & Company, as well as Phil Jackson & The Bulls as a franchise..
This was the inauguration year of the Timberwolves & they came out scrappin' & fighing for this game. They really pushed the Bulls in this one.
I honestly think MJ & Co. didn't expect this kind of effort from an expansion team.
But in the end, it was simply TOO MUCH MJ for the newly formed T'wolves to contend with..
This game was a precursor to the matchup of these 2 teams in the Finals, which took place just a few months later.
The league had a brief scare as one of it's preimmenent figures (Magic) was taken from the game via ambulance.
Although later revealed the departure was just for precautionary measures, at that time, it caused major concern for fans across the board..
